Summary
Massively Multiplayer Mobile Games (MMMOG) are fast becoming a popular form of entertainment. However, building the infrastructure required for these games is non-trivial.

Details
We plan to build infrastructure that can do the following

- handle thousands and millions of simultaneous mobile players

- optimize the resources (battery, bandwidth etc.) of mobile devices

- allow mobile players to co-exist in the same game with wired players

- create the appropriate power management, wireless transmission, load balancing, consistency management, and latency preservation algorithms and mechanisms to support the above

- build, and test the infrastructure with as many games as possible

This project is being funded by a MOE Tier-2 grant.
